Another interesting umbrella website, containing nothing but Tyrolean webcams with an opportunity to ‘zoom in’ on the Maria Theresienstrasse and the Altstadt(old town) areas of Innsbruck.

The Oetztal is though where this website comes into its own, in particular Soelden and Oetz. Whilst this website doesn’t showcase the breadth of resort-choice found elsewhere, it does to its credit concentrate on some of the Tyrol’s highest and most snow-sure resorts which benefit from all year round glacier-skiing, especially useful considering the relatively poor snow-depths currently found in much of Europe. It is perhaps unfortunate that much of the best skiing is at the moment to be found at higher-altitudes, meaning lower resorts in Austria and Slovenia are suffering from a lack of snow and therefore paying customers, one such example being Kranjska Gora.

Despite the pictures from many of these cameras seemingly showing resorts winding down at the end of the season rather than building up to their peak, it is hoped that with us only being in mid January that there is ample time left for the slopes servicing the lower-resorts to be adequately replenished with the genuine article, rather than resorting to the snow-cannons. With though high-profile World Cup ski events looming on the horizon, it will definitely be a case of needs must.

This website does exactly what it says on the tin; you might find it of interest:
