Further to my previous post detailing some of the umbrella sites that offer views of Slovenia, etc, I have stumbled upon a ‘new’ site, in so much that it is new to me:
What’s Up Cams’ raison d’etre is to display webcam views of various locations in Slovenia, Croatia and Italy. By no means is this website biased towards mountain-views but nevertheless it propounds live aspects of disparate topography, such as the Piran salt-pans, the Pohorje massif, Postojna, Golte, Rogla, Portoroz and even the meerkats of Ljubljana Zoo. For a broader overview of Slovenia this site is superior to any of its genre I have so far come across.
The Croatian element of What’s Up seems to concentrate on the capital Zagreb and the bewildering array of coastline that is the jewel in the Hrvatskan crown. Jadran Square in Rijeka looks particularly picturesque at this time of year.
The Italian slant of this website is equally diverse with some especially pleasing views of the Dolomites thanks to it’s Alta Badia cam. Again there is a mixture of mountains, seascapes and photogenic town squares decked in their seasonal finery to be found.
All in all, a welcome addition to the world of European webcams.
